To remove your information from backgroundcheck.run, start by going to BackgroundCheck.run and running a search for your profile by entering your name, city, and state. 

Click on the profile that matches your personal information, then copy the URL for your profile page.

Go to BackgroundCheck.run’s opt-out page and paste the profile URL into the form. Fill in your name and email address, check the CAPTCHA box, and click on “Submit Opt Out Request”.

You can also find the opt-out page by going to BackgroundCheck.run, scrolling down to the bottom of the page, and clicking on the “Do Not Sell My Info” link in the footer.

There may be multiple profiles on BackgroundCheck.run that match your information, and each will have its own unique URL. In order to remove multiple profiles from BackgroundCheck.run, a separate opt-out request must be processed for each one.

Go to your inbox and open the email from BackgroundCheck.run, then click on the link in the email to confirm your request. You’ll receive another email from BackgroundCheck.run to let you know whether your request has been approved. This may take up to 48 hours.

If you prefer to email BackgroundCheck.run directly, you can submit your opt-out request to ccpa@backgroundcheck.run. Be sure to include your full name and profile URL in the email.
